MO DIRT: Missourians Doing Impact Research Together

Soil Health Survey Training - St. Louis, October 29, 2015

The first training of citizens for the soil health survey project was on October 29, 2015 at the Donald Danforth Plant Science  Center in St. Louis. We had the participation of teachers, high school students and farmers. We introduced the participants to the Missouri EPSCoR, MO DIRT and citizen science projects. We explained the whole process to set up a study site to conduct the surveys and demonstrated how to collect the data for all the physical, chemical, and biological variables involved. We finalized the training by providing soil kits with their manuals to the participants interested in conducting the surveys.
