MO DIRT participated of the Missouri Natural Resources Conference with a poster, an exhibit, and a workshop. The poster highlighted the different components of MO DIRT including the soil health monitoring, the soil science curricula, the outreach activities, and the high school science project. At our booth we were able to share information about soil science, distribute educational material, and introduce the participants of the conference to MO DIRT. The last day we had a workshop on the soil health surveys focused particularly on how to measure soil respiration and active carbon. Both variables are indicators of the soil biological activity.
