MO DIRT was invited to celebrate Earth Day at Maritz during their Bring Your Daughters & Sons to Work Day. This was an opportunity to celebrate plants and the soils that sustain them through exploration of popular MO DIRT acitivities. Children and their parents participated in the Living Soil activity to find, identify, and learn more about important soil organisms; created artwork using soil paints and/or chromatography; examined plants in closer detail through dissection and microscopy; and planted their own flowers to give something back to the Earth on this special day.
